We listen to music all day long, all of us, from all genres and all times, so I thought I would share a new list of my current favorites. Sundays, especially when football is not in season, are the best days for music because we deliberately listen and don’t simply have it playing in the background while we work.
My playlist on Spotify, who I have affectionately named Oliver (because Roger didn’t like that name for Baylee), is almost twenty-six hours long and it’s as unfocused and scattered as my thoughts. Here are some of the new additions (which are not all originals so pay attention to the artists). If you click on them, you will be guided to the video:
- “Come as You Are” by Nirvana (Max is learning this on the drums.)
- “Superstition” by Stevie Wonder (Baylee’s drum song)
- “Blurred Lines” by Discohen (I can’t stop playing this one.)
- “Hey Jude” by Joe Anderson (from the Across the Universe soundtrack.)
- “Moon River” by Frank Ocean (Listen to Sinatra version beforehand.)
- “Puppy and a Truck” by Jenny Lewis (Thanks, Dara.)
. . . I can’t stop
- “Zealots of Stockholm” by Childish Gambino (We use this one to test our speakers, but the meaning is pretty dark and deep.)
- “Let it Be—Long Version” by Carol Woods and Timothy T. Mitchum (Also from Across the Universe)

Oh, these are all so good, Teresa! Some I recognize and others I am adding to my playlist. I thought of you as soon as I heard “A Puppy and a Truck”.
