LOL. Day 300.

I don’t say LOL, never have, never will unless a little snark is necessary to make my point. It’s always been so silly to me. I wonder, then, if it’s the reason Sammy says I always seem mad in my texts.

It was disheartening to hear because writing is what I do, and also how I make a living. How can I possibly seem unhappy in my text messages? Is it because I don’t say LOL?

I do use emojis like happy faces and funny memes or gifs to express my sentiment, but not LOL. I am weaning myself off the hearts because I’ve been using them too much.

Now I’m deciding if I should try to change it without it seeming too obvious, or without conforming to the new norms of reassurance. If all I need is for someone to take out the trash, is a happy face necessary?

  1. I don’t know texting terms…some mia & Mario have taught me, but mostly used emotional emotions to show how I’m feeling…like
