The boys and I started playing Dungeons and Dragons last week, mostly because we’re unhealthily obsessed with Stranger Things, which includes the game, as well as mirrors it.
It was Sammy’s idea at first, and I was thinking there was no way I would ever enjoy playing something like that.
I was wrong.
It’s just so fun! So, for those who don’t really know what it’s about, here you go:
You choose your character (the longest process), you choose a dungeon master, you roll the dice, then, and this is the absolute best part, you tell stories!!!
I remember when it was controversial in the 80’s and I didn’t know anyone who played, so I never gave it any thought. It’s nice to share this with the boys, and I hope we play forever and ever.
