Tomorrow! Day 374.

Today is an exciting day!

My sister-in-law, Sherry, is on her way from Tennessee to stay for the weekend. She will join us tomorrow for the 5K in Swansboro, then we will hang out all weekend. Plans? Yes! Menu planned? Yes!

Tonight we’ll have grinders to fuel us for tomorrow’s trek. Tomorrow evening is open to take-out or Camino Real, our local favorite, or maybe we’ll just cook up some fries in the oven to pair with our Riesling and cast iron chocolate chip cookie bars. (The dough is already made and in the fridge. Shhhh, don’t tell the boys or it’ll be gone.)

Sunday I am making potato casserole, blueberry bread, and English muffin sandwiches, and we’re packing that all up to take to the beach for an oceanside brunch. We’ll spend some time with Tye, Deaven, and the pups, then come back to the house to watch football and stuff our faces with chick’n sliders, layered dip, and cheese and crackers.

(I’ve known Sherry for 30 years, since Tyler was four months old. I talk about her HERE.)

Wish us luck for our run, or please click HERE to donate if you like. Any amount is appreciated. We’re almost to our goal, and are so excited to celebrate the lives of true heroes and warriors tomorrow!
