No Infinity. Day 415.

If infinity doesn’t exist, then what’s beyond it?

  1. Infinity exist. For all numbers there is always N+1. However, if you are talking about time there is a possibility that there is a “first moment” and “final moment”. Logically, nothing could have existed before the first moment. You cannot talk about “before” the “first moment”. There used to be a big-bang related cosmological model like that but now a day the prevalent view is infinite inflation, an endless river of time if you will, along which multiple universes pop-up like bubbles (multiple big bangs), for ever and ever. The 2020 Nobel Price winner in physics, Roger Penrose, wrote a book on a similar model which takes a more cyclical view of the same thing (Cycles of Time). He believes you can detect previously existing Universes in the cosmological background radiation.
