I have not been having the most success stuffing myself into my favorite coral dress with the polka dots. It sits in my closet waiting patiently for me to lay off the extra butter and chocolate chip cookie bars.
Although my success has only appeared in little bits for that past couple years, I feel like this time is different. Here me out.
Instead of “starting Monday,” I add a little to my routine and habits each week:
- The first week, I walked two laps around the property with Wanda. (It’s the size of a high school track, so about 1/4 mile per lap.) I also added not eating past seven at night.
- The week after that, I added another lap and still did not eat after seven.
- The third week (Yes, third!), I added another lap making it one mile, no eating after seven, and I am doing my Weight Watchers during the week.
I think doing it all at once can be too daunting and kind of impossible. Also, I take the weekend off because we’re very active on Saturdays anyway, and if I only do one day of not tracking what I eat, I will overindulge. I just will. I notice myself paying more attention to what I’m eating and how much because my progress is important to me.
Not eating after seven o’clock at night has offered me better sleep, too, and no more Tums!
I have faith it will work this time, and I’m kind of excited about it. Let’s see if I can stick to it!
Just post your aunties picture as a reminder of what not to do…you go girl!

We can always stand to be healthier, obviously, but just know I think you are lovely!
