543 Day Writing Journey

A Bungalow. Day 282.

As Steve Rogers says, “I can do this all day.” I love love love writing property descriptions, especially ones as charming as this. This is one of the five I’ve written in the past twenty-four. Thanks, God.

Book this sweet beach bungalow for a romantic getaway, use it as a writer’s retreat, or spend your summer vacation in this adorable home called the XXXXX on the tranquil North Topsail Beach. Here, you will enjoy a true, classic beach experience in this most charming two-bedroom, ocean-view bungalow with its own fenced-in backyard that sleeps seven people. One bedroom has a king bed and twin, the other has a queen bed as well as a set of bunk beds, and the home has one-and-a-half baths. The property is dog-friendly and only a few steps away from the beach.

Park your beach chair all day and laze in the rays with your toes in the white sand, or watch the sun rise, dolphins play, and pelicans dive down to scoop up their morning meal. Search for sharks’ teeth, shells, and maybe you’ll rent a surfboard from one of the local beach equipment places and try your surfing skills in the warm waves. Sit peacefully while you enjoy nightfall as the waves slowly begin to calm. After the beach, rinse off in the outdoor shower and turn in for the day, or get ready for a night on the town.

A short drive or bike ride away will show you small town restaurants, some with fresh-caught fish, local seafood, and produce from neighboring farms. Also in town are boutiques, well-known stores, bars and breweries, some featuring live music or karaoke, local fishing, a golf course, and a public boat ramp. A bustling, busy beach scene isn’t for everyone, so maybe a night in is more your style.

Cook up your catch-of-the-day that you reeled in from the Seaview or Surf City pier on the grill, or use the open kitchen that has stainless steel appliances to create your gourmet masterpiece. Maybe complement your meal with an Instacart order, or forgo the cooking and order pizza from one of the local delivery places. Dine in, or use the picnic area in the shade on the lower level which has a gate to the fenced-in backyard. After dinner, spend the evening on the deck, in the cozy living area, or choose to sit around the firepit and share stories with your friends.
